See Satsuki and May’s house filmed just before the opening of Ghibli Park

At a media preview of the “Ghibli Park” scheduled to open on November 1, Satsuki and May’s house was unveiled to the public.

The house of Satsuki and May from “My Neighbor Totoro” has been built in the park, and visitors can actually enter the house.

The house is so well reproduced that visitors can tell at a glance that it is Satsuki and May’s house. You can see the rotting pillars and the inside of the house.

The house was actually built more than 10 years ago, and was renovated when Ghibli Park opened.

Inside the house, the kitchen, bath, and other areas have been recreated exactly as they appeared in the film.

Even the smallest details are recreated in detail, such as the futon in the closet and the father’s study, which can be seen up close.

Visitors can catch a glimpse of how Satsuki, Mei, and their friends live, and may feel as if they have wandered into a movie.

A site that shows one of the symbols of Ghibli Park, Satsuki and May’s house

There is a website where you can see the painted image of “Satsuki and May’s House,” one of the symbols of Ghibli Park, before it was opened to the public.

【ジブリパーク】再現度が凄い! 中にも入れるサツキとメイの家 崩れそうな柱まで忠実に再現
11月1日に開園を予定している「ジブリパーク」のメディア向け内覧会において、サツキとメイの家が公開された。

If you click on the image, you can see it while feeding it in a slideshow format.

I think these images are quite valuable because people are usually in the picture when they actually enter the museum.

Please enjoy the atmosphere of a Japanese house from decades ago.
